We continually develop our team, giving them the opportunity to grow with the business. With this in mind we offer all our employees the chance to progress through their career.

We believe in our people and take great pride in giving our Store Assistants the opportunity to develop their careers with Claire's. All employees complete a modular training program that emphasizes the main responsibility of each person's position, with the most important being customer service and teamwork.

We are constantly expanding the training available to our field staff by adding new programs, focusing on subjects such as leadership, communication, and other courses that will improve staff interaction with customers and each other.

District Sales Managers attend Claire's Stores University training. The main function of the Claire's Stores University is to provide developmental training, focusing on operational, leadership and management skills, making our District Sales Managers more effective in their positions.

Because of our commitment to training, many employees begin at the Store Assistants level and progress upward. On average, at least 50% of our District Sales Managers are internally promoted, making this a realistic goal for all of our Store Assistants.

As with our store employees, training is high on our agenda in our Central Office. 'Hands-on training' specific to each individual's new position starts from the onset of employment. Additional training programs are also available to enhance the productivity and teamwork within Claire's. Managers have specific training courses provided to them, which enhances their effectiveness as leaders of our company.
