"After completing an HND in Business, Finance and French, I had no idea what career path to take. Then I noticed Claire's was opening a number of new stores locally. An avid fan of Claire's and their products, I knew it was a place I'd love to work, so I applied for a sales position. Selected for my retail knowledge, I was offered the position of supervisor at the Newcastle store."

"I was involved in overseeing the running of the store while helping out with several store openings. Always champing at the bit to do bigger and better things, I worked my way to Store Manager. This was my biggest challenge to date - by some way! I turned the store sales around and developed a sales assistant to become my Assistant Manager. But this wasn't the end of my progression with Claire's. I've been on a management development programme, and I was the first Store Manager to be promoted to District Sales Manager level."
