There are many functions to support both Claire's HQ and our cross-European operations. Here we have listed just a few: HR, Finance and IT.
Our business-focused HR team work in a shared service environment and support our Zone 1 and European Head Office to help the business to meet its goals, aims and aspirations. Operationally and strategically, they are tuned in to what skills the business needs and what it demands from its people. And while they know what the business needs from people, they also understand what people need from the business – such as support, training, coaching and career development.
The team carries out a full range of HR activities, including Resourcing, Learning & Development, Performance Management and Employee Relations through to Reward and HR Administration. But whatever they're doing, they focus on making sure that, as a business, they always have the right people with the right skills in the right place. And that's incredibly rewarding.

Our European Finance team is responsible for the financial activities for the whole of Europe, controlling revenues, expenditures, assets and liabilities and helping Claire's to achieve transparency and accountability. They also safeguard assets by making sure that we adhere to sound financial management practices and procedures (and all legal and regulatory requirements). The team also provide management with the financial analysis needed to help control the business.
Finance look after 13 different countries. When you take into account the fact that different countries have different laws and business procedures, the challenge for Finance is substantial.

We all rely on technology to do our jobs properly. Whether it's one of our EPOS tills in store, a computerised stock control system in our Distribution Centre or a desktop issue, our IT team ensure that our technology works as it should and helps us to get on with our jobs. Behind all this technology is our talented IT team, busy working hard to make sure that our technology does what it's asked, works as it should and ultimately, makes all our lives easier.
IT is at the heart of everything we do and our systems are designed, tested and supported by this team. They're constantly looking at ways we can improve performance and efficiencies across Europe, whether that be through implementing new and emerging software, or upgrading servers, their finger is firmly on the technology pulse.
While some on-the-ground IT support is provided by a team in Paris, the majority of technical support for our store network comes from the team in our European Headquarters. This means delivering high-quality technical and operational support to people at all levels, across our European store network. That's why we have a multilingual helpdesk team that's on hand to help with any issues they have. That's the level of support that we deliver here at Claire's.
