At Claire's we have a diverse and ever-changing range of products. Our Buying team ensures the latest fashions are sourced for all our European stores. Once sourced our Merchandising team then ensures these products are properly stocked and effectively placed.
Our European team love being at the forefront of fashion and are passionate about our products, they live and breathe the most fashionable, must-have jewellery and accessories. They work with a hugely diverse product range including hair, cosmetics and novelty. The scope of buying opportunities is endless. And what's more the team get to buy for all our countries across Europe, which means they have to always have their finger on the fashion pulse in Barcelona, Budapest, Berlin and Birmingham. We think the combination of such diverse products and a truly pan-European customer base is unique to Claire's and offers our buying team the kind of challenge they thrive on.
With complete ‘start to finish' responsibility for products for all of our European stores, our Buying team work closely with our American counterparts, our global design team in the US, and with RSI, our Hong Kong based Product Sourcing team. And because of the nature of the job, our Buyers head off on frequent inspiration trips to Europe and buying trips to America and the Far East.

Great products don't simply appear in a Claire's store. It's all down to our talented European Merchandising team. They make sure that we're managing and planning stock effectively for all of our 1,000 European stores.
In simple terms, our European Merchandising team ensures that the right products are in the right stores at the right time, planning, controlling and monitoring the purchasing, intake and distribution of merchandise across Europe. They work across borders and seasons, doing everything in their power to maximise sales and improve margin.
Our team work really closely with the Buyers to ensure we buy fashion-forward products long before the next season. Tracking everything from up-and-coming trends to past performance – keeping a close eye on what's selling and where, helping us plan for the future.
We also have a dedicated Allocation, Replenishment and Analytics team which look at product performance trends and find new ways to further improve the stock allocation process. As a team they review, assess and improve the European allocation and replenishment process, delivering maximum efficiencies and identifying key sales trends by country, region, district and individual market place. This analysis and insight is used to shape product ranges for new and existing stores.
