To give you an idea of all the important work we do at our European Head Office, here's a quick overview of some of the key functions and services you'll find here.
Our European Buying team focus on sourcing and delivering a commercial and balanced product range of jewellery, hair, cosmetics and accessories to our target customers – fashion conscious girls and young women aged between 3 and 18.
As well as receipt and allocation of our product range to stores, our European Merchandising Team works with Buying to maximise sales and drive profitability.
Supply Chain (Distribution Centre and Logistics)
Our Distribution Centre based on site in Birmingham supplies to every one of our 1,000 European stores. Packing an average of 10,500 boxes per week – distributed by up to four articulated lorries everyday.
Whether it's Europe or specific zone support, Retail Operations ensures that each Claire's store is operating as effectively as possible.
Our HR function supports the needs of Retail (Zone 1, that's the UK and Ireland) and Head Office. From Resourcing, Learning & Development, Performance Management, Employee Relations and Reward and Administration, the Team provides the complete spectrum of HR activities.
Finance is structured into two key areas: Accounting & Reporting and Financial Planning, and Reporting and Analysis. Both areas encompass a variety of functions, including Purchase Ledger, Banking, Management Accounts, Tax, Treasury and Statutory Accounts, as well as more specialist areas.
Our knowledgeable IT department delivers high-quality technical and operational support (testing, implementing and supporting our computer systems) to Claire's European Head Office and stores all over Europe.
