“Having worked in Retail for 19 years now, it's all I know! It all started whilst studying for my A levels when I got myself a part-time role as a Retail Sales Advisor. From here I got the Retail bug and after completing my studies I continued my career in Retail working in various capacities including visual and commercial management, floor and customer service management and working my way up to store management for leading fashion retailers.”

“After spending 15 years at store level I decided to take a change of career path, I'd always enjoyed the HR side of my job and decided this was an area that I wanted to pursue. I attended a recruitment open evening at Claire's European Head Office, was invited to interview stage and was successful in commencing my HR career as a HR Administrator for stores within the UK and Ireland division.  From here my career has progressed into Recruitment, starting as a Resourcing Co-ordinator and now Resourcing Business Partner responsible for start to finish recruitment process for all functions across Head Office.”

“It's been an incredible learning journey since joining Claire's. I’ve broadened my HR knowledge by completing a CIPD CPP (Certificate in Personnel Practice) and achieving a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management and Executive Leadership as well as completing a number of in-house training courses and external seminars. If you are self motivated and willing to work hard, you’ll be given all the encouragement and support you need with your development. I’m lucky to work with such a supportive HR team and to have had some fantastic mentors to help me along the way.”
