I've met so many inspiring people during my time at Claire's. Everybody brings individual qualities which together add up to something really special. I'm very protective of my 13-strong team, we've worked really hard to make this one of Claire's highest turnover stores. My responsibility as a manager is to ensure the smooth running and profitability of our store, which includes hiring, developing and motivating my staff. I also have the added dimension to my role of welcoming and training new managers into the business, which is immensely rewarding and has taught me a lot about the business.
Before coming here, I had spent 10 years at an independent shoe retailer and although I enjoyed it, it just doesn't compare to here. The support network is brilliant - HR, Customer Services and Store Communications are all at the end of the phone, the investment in training is exemplary, the products are fab and above all, the people are second to none. If you like being challenged, you'll go far here. I feel that, for my own future, the sky is the limit.
