When you are invited to attend the next stage of the selection process, please bear in mind that you are probably in competition for the post, so remember the old adage that first impressions count. Basically you should keep in mind that you can never be too prepared for your interview.
Get to know the job description. Prepare questions on matters you need to know about the job; title, overall purpose, tasks, responsibilities, your immediate line manager, your subordinates, the method used for judging your performance, future progression, etc. Anticipate competency based questions such as 'Please give me an example of when you have ...'
Find out about Claire's, look at our products and any competitors. Also, check our corporate website and the Internet for up to date news stories, financial results, acquisitions, etc.
Think about what you will tell us about yourself and how you've got where you are today. Be prepared to quote examples of your achievements to back up claims you make about your attributes. Lastly, know your own CV!!
