It all started for us in the UK in 1996 when we bought a company called Bow Bangles, who had 50 stores across the country. Over the subsequent three years we opened most of the stores we have today. At the peak of our expansion we were opening, on average, one store every 4 days. Now we have c. 458 stores in the UK and Ireland, and a further c. 400 stores in continental Europe, which is planned to double over the next 5 years!.

We relish a fast-paced environment and thrive on success, so we're incredibly proud that our sales per square foot are world class and we boast nearly half of the company's Million Dollar Stores.

Keeping every store packed full of the latest, most irresistible product range the high street has to offer requires a huge amount of work behind the scenes, so whilst our US functional head offices are split between Chicago, Miami and New York, our stores in the UK, Ireland, and Europe are supported by a dedicated central office and distribution centre in Birmingham, where c. 310 members of the Claire's UK and Pan-European team are based.
